Fan favorite artist, Arthur Adams created six variant covers for The Walking Dead. When the covers are connected they make one large scene!

Last week we took a visit to Guilermo Del Toro’s Bleak House.
If you’d like to see some of Guillermo del Toro’s personal collection of movie props, original art and other collectibles, you can if you live within traveling distance of The Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
The exhibit is called Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters.

Dave Wachter is back and he brought his take on Sly from the Get Carter. I met Dave several years ago and became an instant fan. I wasn’t the only one to discover Dave’s fantastic sketches! How can you not like a great guy who is a terrific artist?
It has become a HeroesCon tradition that I get Dave to draw his take on Sly. Somehow this one was never posted until now.

Howard Chaykin is one of my all-time favorite artists/writers. I’m not a big Solomon Kane fan, but this sketch could win me over.

I am happy to see that The Saviors by James Robinson and J. Bone is getting a trade paperback release. I’m a huge fan of the series.
The Saviors is a comic for mature audiences due to drug references and language. If you’re a fan of 1950’s alien invasion movies [“I Married a Monster from Outer Space,” “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,”etc.] or well written, well drawn comics, then The Saviors is for you.
When Tomas Ramirez stumbles upon an extraterrestrial conspiracy to take over the world, his life is forever altered. Now he’s banding together with those other few souls who share the knowledge that we are under attack as they attempt to defeat a shadowy alien cabal that is both indestructible and eager to kill anyone who threatens it.
Eisner Award winner JAMES ROBINSON (Starman, Earth 2) and artist J. BONE (The Rocketeer: Hollywood Horror, The Spirit) present an adventure story of monstrous proportions.

Carver: A Paris Story by Chris Hunt looks like a fun ride.
After an absence of five years, globe trotting and notorious gentleman of fortune Francis Carver returns to Paris in 1923. He has come back to aid Catherine Ayers, the wife of a wealthy Parisian socialite and the only woman he has ever loved. Her daughter has been kidnapped by the leader of a crazed anarchist gang, a man named Stacker Lee. In order to bring the girl home, Francis will have to crawl through the underbelly of the city while confronting the demons of his past, before being faced with a final choice: succumb to the man he has become, or take that mask off and be the hero he always wanted to be.
“CARVER is my homage to CORTO MALTESE,” said Chris Hunt, “I’m bringing a modern edge and sensibility to classic, serialized adventure storytelling, starting with the first storyline CARVER: A PARIS STORY.”
Like an American Corto Maltese Carver combines the best elements of European and American Comics into a wonderful synthesis
Featuring a back up story and essay by Paul Pope.
Peter Simeti is a writer, artist and publisher. Peter is the founder of Alterna Comics as well as the writer of The Chair.
Peter is active on Twitter and one night I saw he was offering 5 minute sketch cards. I jumped on board for a couple. Jack Carter was the first.

Most every week at 10pm on Saturday my wife and I check out whatever monster movie that horror host Svengoolie is serving up on ME-TV. Last week we were pleasantly surprised to see George Perez and his lovely bride featured.
Seems George and his better half also regularly tune in to Svengoolie. They were shown wearing their Sven t-shirts along with the very cool art that George created for Svengoolie. You can see a larger version here.
I wonder what surprises Svengoolie will offer up tomorrow night with Captive Wild Woman.

Today we have a couple of Drew Struzan’s sketches for his work on John Carpenter’s Snake Plissken character.

Jonathon Brandon Sawyer created his take on Sly as Jack Carter teamed with Chris Mills’ and Rick Burchett’s Gravedigger McCrae. How cool is that? Very.

Gravedigger: Hot Women , Cold Cash by Mills and Burchett gets an A+ rating and is available at the link. – Craig

That’s a cover detail from Triggerman, a new crime comic coming from Hard Case Crime and Titan Comics.
Triggerman will be written by Walter (“The Warriors”) Hill with art by Matz.
In the mean streets of Chicago, a convict is thrown headfirst into a life of bloodshed and bullets to save the girl he left behind…
I love the sound and look. I’ll definitely be pulling the trigger on Triggerman.

Jason Latour is the subject of a piece at Entertainment Weekly. When asked about the tv adaptation of Southern Bastards, Latour responded…
“We’re hopeful that it will move forward… It’s a slow, slow process, but there’s really good people behind it and excited by it. At some point now, to do the comic everyday, you have to forget that there might be a TV show.”
A tv series would be icing but as long as Jason Aaron and Jason Latour keep the comic coming, that’s the cake, baby.
