I’ve always enjoyed Gerardo’s Stallone art, and know that I can see more of his art here.
It’s not unusual to see gargoyles on ancient buildings.
It is pretty strange to see a movie alien gargoyle on the historic 13th century Paisley Abbey.
How could that be? Ancient Aliens? Time-traveling pranksters?
Nope.
It seems the abbey underwent some renovations in the early 1990’s and some of the gargoyles were repaired/replaced.

I love getting a look at where creative people work. MTV Geek! provides a peak at Mike “Hellboy” Mignola’s studio. (Sadly the link is no longer available, but here’s Mike Mignola drawing live! – Craig, 2021)
John Herzfeld is one of Sly’s oldest friends — they met at the University of Miami when both were students there. Sly and John have remained friends over the years.
John Herzfeld is best known as a writer/director on films such as 15 Minutes (starring Robert Deniro); 2 Days in the Valley and Inferno: The Making of The Expendables.
Herzfeld has been working to get his movie Reach Me made. Herzfeld has filmed most of Reach Me, but wants to add a few more touches and so he’s gone to Kickstarter to raise the additional funds.
Reach Me stars Sylvester Stallone, Lauren Cohen, Terry Crews, Cary Elwes, Elizabeth Henstridge, Tom Berenger, Kyra Sedgwick, Kelsey Grammer, Thomas Jane, Tom Sizemore, Danny Aiello, Danny Trejo and Nelly.
Below is Herzfeld’s pitch and here’s a link to his Kickstarter page. How often does the chance come along to help get a movie made… especially a movie featuring Sylvester Stallone? I’m in.
Jeremy Treece has created art for comic books, trading cards, animation and independent films. Today we have Treece’s take on a young Cosmo Carboni from the first film Stallone directed, “Paradise Alley”.
The Dayton Daily News twice accidentally switched the captions for Gary Larson’s The Far Side and Hank Ketcham’s Dennis the Menace. Hilarity ensued.

Dave Wachter is back and he brought his take on Sly from the Bullet to the Head. I met Dave a few years ago and became an instant fan. I wasn’t the only one to discover Dave’s fantastic sketches! How can you not like a great guy who is a terrific artist?
At HeroesCon this year I asked Dave to draw Sly from his first major movie, the Lords of Flatbush and another piece of Sly from his latest film, Bullet to the Head. Last week, you saw Dave’s take on Sly as Stanley Kowalski, so this week we have Sly as Jimmy Bobo.

I posted about Zero before. At that time I said it was a new comic series by Ales Kot [writer] and Michael Walsh [artist] that looked interesting. Here’s how the advance solicitation described it…
SAVING THE WORLD. ONE MURDER AT A TIME.
Edward Zero is the perfect execution machine – a spy who breaks the rules to get things done. When a stolen device appears in the center of a long-running conflict, Zero comes to retrieve it. The problem is, the device is inside a living, breathing, bio-modified terrorist and there’s an entire army after it.
I just learned that although the series will contain a series of rotating artists, each doing one issue. I also discovered a bit more about Edward Zero…
ZERO is a secret agent. Edward Zero. He’s the perfect execution machine, in a sense — throw him at a problem and he wil solve it. Just remember that the way he reaches the solution may not always be to your liking, because he’s a bit of a sociopath.
But what happens when a sociopath realizes ideas and systems he based his life upon are deeply broken and not at all what they were supposed to be?

I’m not a fan of motion comics.
I am a fan of David Twohy and Vin Diesel’s character Riddick.
So, here’s a motion comic to bridge the gap between Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick and Riddick.
Oh, and if like me, you don’t care for motion comics, here is a short interview for you with Vin Diesel who speaks about Riddick.
I like this poster for Gravity.
I think I’d dig it even more if there was part of the spaceship or tether floating in the foreground.

Funny thing is, Franchesco wrote in to say he didn’t draw it. Chris Schweizer did.
iFanboy corrected their post. The one thing that didn’t need to be changed is that Bronson as Wolverine is worthy of Sketch of the Week honors.
