Happy Thanksgiving and “You’re Welcome!”
Today is Thanksgiving and many of us will come together with family and friends to pause and give thanks for what we have and perhaps what we’ve been spared. Charles Dickens may have said it best…
- “Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has many–not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.”
Of course not everyone gives thanks. The Sexy Pilgrim doesn’t. Instead he says, “You’re welcome.”
I hope that you and yours have one of the best Thanksgiving Days ever. Count your blessings, eat too much turkey, ignore that family member who irritates you, make big plans, eat too much pie, doze in front of the tube, have a bit more turkey, and remember to watch a bit of the parade and some football!

Grave Digger is my favorite of the bunch. Of course Grave Digger is one of my all-time favorite comics [let’s not limit this to just crime comics]. Rick Burchett provides the art and it is perfect. Mills and Burchett. ‘Nuff said.
Perils on Planet X is written by Mills with art by Gene Gonzales. If you’re a fan of Flash Gordon, John Carter: Warlord of Mars and good comics, you’ll dig Perils on Planet X. You can take that to the bank.
Femme Noir features the team of Mills [writer] and Joe Staton [artist] taking readers down the dark streets of Port Nocturne to follow the adventures of a mysterious female vigilante.

Lost 3 Stooges Film Found!
Pictured above is a frame from Hello Pop an early two-color short that featured Ted Healy and The Three Stooges. No prints of Hello Pop exist.
Hello Pop along with other early films (the most famous being Todd Browning’s London After Midnight starring Lon Chaney) were lost forever because of a vault fire at the Culver City studio.
Hello Pop was the only film featuring The Three Stooges that no longer existed.
That is until a private film collector in Australia turned up a copy! Soon collectors worldwide will be able to see and add Hello Pop to their movie collections.
Now if someone could just find a print of London After Midnight.

Alien Found in 13th Century Abbey!
It’s not unusual to see gargoyles on ancient buildings.
It is pretty strange to see a movie alien gargoyle on the historic 13th century Paisley Abbey.
How could that be? Ancient Aliens? Time-traveling pranksters?
Nope.
It seems the abbey underwent some renovations in the early 1990’s and some of the gargoyles were repaired/replaced.
Well played, mystery repair man!
Behind-the-Scenes on “The Princess Bride”
The Princess Bride is one of those movies that the only people I know who don’t like it, haven’t seen it. Truth be told, I didn’t think I’d like The Princess Bride, but after seeing it, loved it.
Recently, Princess Bride director, Rob Reiner attended a live screening and provided commentary and behind-the-scenes anecdotes.
