Midday Music Day 55. More Than a Feeling by Boston.
Boston’s first album propelled them to the top of the charts. Everyone was playing it… and some still are!

Although the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln took place more than 150 years ago it still captures the imagination of most Americans.
The Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, NY just opened a new installation, “Autopsy for a Nation: The Death of Abraham Lincoln,” marking the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s assassination. The exhibit’s key items include handwritten notes by the physicians who conducted the President’s autopsy.
If you’d like to see the handwritten notes and transcriptions, you can at i09: True Crime.

Midday Music Day 54. Dust in the Wind by Kansas.
These lyrics seemed so profound…

Cheryl Eddy and i09 present The Terrifying True Story of America’s Youngest Serial Killer.
In 1872, 12-year-old Jesse Pomeroy was briefly sent to reform school after brutally attacking several children. After his release, “the Boy Fiend” progressed to murder.
How many Jesse Pomeroy’s are out there now?

I’m a huge Vin Diesel fan, but am not sold on The Last Witch Hunter.

Midday Music Day 53. Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce.
Another classic by the great Jim Croce.

From the video description:
Wingsuit pilot, Sebastian Alvarez, proving his precision flight skills in his squirrel suit, blasting through the Chilean flag placed on top of an extinct volcano, cerro manquehue, in his home country, Santiago de Chile.
What amazes me is the real-time speed Alvarez is traveling when he busts through the flag!

The Entertainment Weekly staff came up with their list of the 20 Scariest Movies of All-Time.
The EW list is a pretty good one and using just their choices I came up with my top three:

Midday Music Day 52. Alone Again by Gilbert O’Sullivan.

Greg Marston and Newsarama recently posted their choices for Ten Marvel Characters ready for Reinvention on TV.
For what it’s worth, here’s my top five ranking of their choices:
If it was up to me though, I’d push for a Nick Fury: Agent of Shield show set in the 1960’s based on Steranko’s Nick Fury.
Can you tell I’m having Justified withdrawl?
If you are as well, then you will want to check out Entertainment Weekly’s Videos of the 10 Best Raylan Showdowns. (Sadly, EW’s link no longer works in 2021.)

Midday Music Day 51. Tie a Yellow Ribbon by Tony Orlando and Dawn.
This was a popular song with young and old alike. I enjoy the song, but it brings back special memories because of how much my grandmother liked it. In fact she loved Tony Orlando and Dawn. She watched their tv show and even bought their album!

Dark Horse Comics is running a free ten page preview of Victor Santos’ Polar: Eye for an Eye.
If you like what you see copies are available here.

Justified is one of my all-time favorite tv shows.
If you’re also a Justified fan (or even if you’re not) you’d probably enjoy Oliver Lyttelton’s The 10 All-Time Best Episodes of Justified. (Since his list is no longer available, I present the The 10 Best Episodes of Justified (According To IMDb). – Craig, 2021)
