One of my all-time favorite crime comics, Gravedigger, makes a return on February 4th, 2013.
That’s right, Gravedigger by Chris Mills and Rick Burchett is making a comeback, and in a big way. Gravedigger will begin re-appearing as a web comic with weekly updates.
Mills & Burchett will start by serializing the original Gravedigger story, The Scavengers, and then will move on to a new Gravedigger tale, The Predators. The plan is to then collect both storylines into one graphic novel.
Kickstarter, anyone?
This news has absolutely made my day, and if you love great comics, my guess is it has made yours as well.

I’m not too excited about the poster for Dead Man Down, but the trailer looks awesome.
Directed by Niels Arden Oplev [who directed the original The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo], Dead Man Down stars Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace, Terrence Howard, Dominic Cooper and Armand Assante. Farrell plays a hit man seduced to kill a crime boss.
If that’s not enough to get you in line for a ticket, perhaps these Five Things to Know About Colin Farrell’s New Revenge Thriller will do the trick.
Dead Man Down has now moved up to my “must-see” list.

IMPAwards is running a poll to determine the best poster designs for TV series and Made-for-TV movies that aired during 2012. You can vote by going here.
I voted. My top five were [in no particular order]: Walking Dead, Justified, Logmire, Breaking Bad [seated], and The Client List.
This just keeps looking better and better!
One of the all time funniest routines is the classic Who’s on First made famous by Abbott and Costello. Today’s video is a worthy all-star follow-up.
Enjoy!

Have you seen this poster for Dwayne The Rock Johnson in Snitch? Yeah, well don’t feel bad. I hadn’t either until just a while ago.
I’ve got a bad feeling about Snitch. The trailer didn’t do much for me and neither does this poster. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Dwayne Johnson fan, but I just can’t get too excited about Snitch.
What other movie does the Snitch poster remind you of? A tough guy in a movie about a trucker who wants to save his son.
Over the Top anyone?
Yeah, I know. The movie plots for Snitch and Over the Top are totally different. Will it really matter though, if the end result is the same?
Thanks to IMPAwards where you can see a really big Snitch if you want.

Wishing you and yours the blessings of the season!
Merry Christmas!
Thanks and a tip o’ Santa’s cap to Jim Ivey who included the little drawings above on his last letter to me. Jim’s 87 and still rockin’.
Since I was a little boy, it’s been a Zablo Christmas tradition that the clan gather at grandma’s house on Christmas Eve. Family members from near and far would meet for an evening of gift exchanges, great food, laughter and stories.
My grandparents passed away years ago, but we still meet in the same house, which now belongs to my mother. Mom is also a grandmother, so although the wheel has turned — the Zablo Christmas tradition is still in place. We all meet at grandma’s on Christmas Eve for the family festivities.
The kids always love this tradition, because they get to open some gifts on Christmas Eve. Of course they have to wait until Christmas morning to see what Santa brought them, but the long wait until the morning is eased by the gifts of Christmas Eve.
I hope that you have family traditions that add to the joy of Christmas. The best part is being with family and creating memories. But, if you’re one of those people that love surprise gifts, I hope you enjoy Leon Redbone and Dr. John singing Frosty the Snowman.
Consider it my Christmas Eve gift to you.
Thanks and an extra glass of egg nog to Bill Crider for the original link.

Doug Dabbs is back! I first met Doug in 2011 at Heroes Con. I was heading out from the show and saw his art. If there had been time, I’d have got a sketch on the spot.
I told Doug I would get a piece from him in 2012 and I did. Two in fact. This piece is Doug’s riff on Barney Ross from The Expendables. Since it is one of my favorite sketches from 2012, I thought it would be fitting to go out with a bang! – Craig
I hadn’t heard a thing about The Place Beyond the Pines until I saw this trailer. Now it has jumped to the top of my Must-See List.
I don’t care for the title. The Place Beyond the Pines sounds like a Lifetime movie, but title aside, The Place Beyond the Pines looks like a winner.
