A couple of months ago we took a look at Joe [Narc] Carnahan’s sizzle reel giving his pitch for a proposed Daredevil movie reboot. Today we get a look at one Carnahan’s video pitches from several years ago. It’s for Gemini Man — about an over-the-hill hitman forced to do battle with a younger clone of himself. [Looper, anyone?]
Thanks and an extra “Go ahead and make my day” Eastwood impression to ComingSoon for the original post.
Here’s the latest poster for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s The Last Stand. Although it’s not the greatest poster in the world, I don’t dislike it and I’m always happy to see movie posters with art instead of photoshopped heads.
You can see a much bigger version of The Last Stand poster over at IMPAwards.com.
Matt Wagner has signed on to write The Shadow: Year One for Dynamite Comics. Although The Shadow has been around for the better part of a century appearing in pulps, comics, and movies, his origin has been sketchy at best. Wagner who is a fan of the character plans to change that.
Thanks and a tip of our not-so-famous black hat to ComicsBeat.com for the original post.

Today we have Jenn Lee’s first appearance in the Stallone Sketch Gallery. I saw Jenn’s art and that she was taking on headsketch commissions. Jenn thought sketching Sly characters would be fun. Here’s her take on Sly in his role as Freddy Hefflin from Cop Land.

Ten years ago I wrote a post talking about an awesome new comic series called The Goon. For more than a decade, Eric Powell [who created, writes and draws] The Goon has continued to produce a comic loved by fans of all ages.
So it was no surprise when, four years ago, The Goon was optioned to become a feature film.
About a year later we got to see a couple of production images showing how The Goon movie would look.
Two years ago we were treated to a movie poster for The Goon which was listed as “Coming Soon to a Theater Near You.”
A year ago we got to glimpse test footage from The Goon. Each step of the way, the hope for an actual full length feature length Goon film seemed closer to becoming a reality. Unfortunately, even with David [Se7en] Fincher on board, the financing wasn’t there.
Now thanks to Kickstarter, all that can change. I’m in. Will you join me? The Goon movie… Let’s Kickstart this sucker!
It was just announced that writer, Scott [Batman] Snyder is teaming up with artist, Sean [Punk Rock Jesus] Murphy for The Wake which Snyder describes as a…
“…big, twisted, sprawling science fiction and horror epic, all of which begins with a single, terrifying discovery at the bottom of the ocean.
Count me in.
Thanks and a flip of our swim fins to iFanboy for the original post.

CBR.com runs a regular feature where they post “Easter Eggs” hidden in comics. These are drawings of actors, other comic companies characters and the like in the background of stories. I love stuff like this.
Here’s a cameo by Charles Bronson from Spectacular Spider-Man #108. You can see many more here.

That’s Jim Lee’s art for the variant cover to Django Unchained #1 which is set to drop on December 5th. You can see a slightly larger version as well as Massimo Carnavale’s variant cover to issue #3 over at CBR.com.

You know how popular zombies have become when they’re the subject of a public service announcement ad for CPR!

It’s not secret I love Parkour [as opposed to Parker, which I also dig]. So, what do you get when you power a Rube Goldberg machine with Parkour? Something that starts out crazy and gets more intense with each new object that gets put into play.
Well done, Jason Paul and his team!

I’m really surprised we’re not hearing more about Parker.
Parker is based on the classic crime novels of Richard Stark, and features a cast that includes Jason Statham, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Chiklis, and Nick Nolte. The trailer looks good and the Parker movie site has gone live.
Let’s spread the word!

Dave Wachter returns with his take on Sly from Expendables 2. I met Dave a few years ago and became an instant fan. I wasn’t the only one to discover Dave’s fantastic sketches! How can you not like a great guy who is a terrific artist? You can see more of Dave’s art at his site. – Craig
Earlier this morning we looked at 007 From Plainfield New Jersey. Now we have the REAL 007.
