I believe that Breaking Bad is probably the best television series ever.
There have been other great series, but Breaking Bad was the most consistently good series that did exactly what it set out to accomplish.
Unfortunately all good bad things must come to an end. If you’re like me, you like to speculate about what happened to the characters after the final fade to black. Breaking Bad series creator, Vince Gilligan and the show’s writers have their own ideas about what happened next and they shared them with Entertainment Weekly.

Pictured above is a frame from Hello Pop an early two-color short that featured Ted Healy and The Three Stooges. No prints of Hello Pop exist.
Hello Pop along with other early films (the most famous being Todd Browning’s London After Midnight starring Lon Chaney) were lost forever because of a vault fire at the Culver City studio.
Hello Pop was the only film featuring The Three Stooges that no longer existed.
That is until a private film collector in Australia turned up a copy! Soon collectors worldwide will be able to see and add Hello Pop to their movie collections.
Now if someone could just find a print of London After Midnight.
Thanks and a nyuk-nyuk-nyuk to the NY Daily Post.

We’re about six hours away from the series finale of Breaking Bad. My guess is you still need a little something to hold you over.
How about Wired’s profile of Franco Francavilla’s Breaking Bad minimalistic episode posters?
Or… my predictions for the Breaking Bad finale?
I think that Walter is going to die, but first he’ll earn a bit of redemption.
Here’s how I see it going down:
The great thing about Breaking Bad is, you never know what is going to happen. So don’t be surprised if I’m wrong. Dead wrong.

Mike Torrance aka The Krayola Kidd is back! Mike has given us his take on Sly from F.I.S.T.
You can see more of Mike’s art at his Deviant Art site. Mike is available for commissions and his prices are very reasonable.

My favorite old time movie monster is the Wolfman.
I always thought that the best looking wolfman makeup was when Oliver Reed starred in Curse of the Werewolf.

Watching the faux silent movie trailer for Batman: Silent Knight…Unholy Knight (from a story by Michael Uslan [writer] and Dave Bullock [artist] may be the best 40 seconds of your day.

Entertainment Weekly commissioned a poster for each of their five favorite Breaking Bad episodes. Sadly they are no longer online, but I did save the one above. I wish I knew the name of the person who created it. If you do, let me know and I’ll credit them here.

Diego Sanchez is a great fighter. Sanchez was/is one of my all-time favorites, but fast money and a partying lifestyle caught up to him.
It wasn’t until Sanchez hit rock-bottom that he got his head together.
And now he is on the comeback trail.
And a unanimous decision thanks to Cage Potato for the link!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a decade since I first recommended Guns, Drugs and Monsters.
Guns, Drugs and Monsters was my first introduction to Steve Niles and his Cal McDonald character. I loved the concept and immediately ordered Savage Membrane [the book that started the series]. I wasn’t disappointed.
Thanks Steve Niles. I cannot wait to see what the next decade brings.

I thought this was interesting and fun. Hope you do as well.

If you’re a fan of great crime comics, you should be reading Gravedigger by Chris Mills and Rick Burchett. I’ve been singing the praises of Gravedigger since before it was released. I knew from the premise and with Chris and Rick at the helm that Gravedigger would be a winner.
And it is.
Keep in mind, that my love for Gravedigger happened long before I became a part of his universe!

The Shield was an amazing series and remains a favorite over a decade after it premiered on FX (back when hardly anyone tuned in to FX).
If you’re a fan of The Shield, then you’ll want to check out Good Cop, Bad Cop: An Oral History of The Shield by Jason Matloff. Before you click over, please know the article/interview, like The Shield, contains adult language and discussion and is NOT for kids.
Thanks to David Chen for the Tweet.

If you’re a regular reader of this blog, then odds are you know of Rod Serling. You’re probably a fan as well.
What many don’t know is that Rod Serling was a famous writer before the Twilight Zone ever aired. Of course it was the Twilight Zone that made him a celebrity.
But I digress…
Would you like to see a full interview with Rod Serling that originally aired on September 15, 1959? That’s two weeks before the Twilight Zone premiered and made Serling a household name.
