How Much Does Twitter Owe You?

From Time Magazine’s Newsfeed

Now that Twitter has a market capitalization of at least $24.9 billion, more than a few of the social network’s 230 million users have noticed their tweets are making other people rich. Many people want their cut.

So what would that be exactly? TIME has crunched the numbers.

You can see what my numbers come out to above.  Click here to see yours.

Jetman Soars Around Mount Fugi!

Who wouldn’t love a chance to soar through the air like James Bond in Thunderball or the Rocketeer in, uh, The Rocketeer?

Wouldn’t everyone?

I would.  So would Yves Rossy who not only wants to fly using a jetpack, but does so often that he is known as Jetman.  In the clip below you can see Rossy flying around Mount Fuji in Japan.

Sorta makes you want a jetpack, doesn’t it?

JFK Assassination & the Air Force 1 Tapes

It is hard for me to believe that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy.

When I was in high school and we learned about World War II that time period seemed so far in the past.  The great depression even farther back.  At the time, both of those historical “landmarks” were less than 50 years gone by.

There are going to be quite a few shows revisiting the Kennedy Assassination and the effect that it had on our nation the world.  Some of these programs will be geared to “new” evidence of multiple shooters and a conspiracy to kill the most powerful man in the world.  I’m more interested in just revisiting the event and have already scheduled to dvr several specials… with more to come.

If you have an interest in the Kennedy Assassination, then you’ve probably started planning which specials to record and which to avoid.  Perhaps we’ll learn some new information… something along the lines of the rarely discussed Air Force One audio recording taken during the flight of JFK’s body back to Washington, D.C.  Jackie Kennedy was on board and watched as Vice President Johnson was given the oath of office that made him President of the United States.

JFK assassination researcher Bill Kelly says…

“The Air Force One tapes are sort of like the black box of the assassination. It has all the basic information there you want to know of what happened at the highest levels of government in the two hours after the assassination…”

Conspiracy buffs will love this… it appears that the tapes have been edited.  If that is the case, and it appears to be true, then why were the tapes edited, what is missing and where are the original recordings.

Like so many things surrounding the Kennedy Assassination, isn’t it time for full disclosure?  Fifty years has passed, you know.

Humiston’s Jack Carter Gets a “Thumbs Up”

This is Erin Humiston’s first appearance in my Stallone Sketch Gallery.

I met Erin a couple of years ago at a MegaCon Convention.  I liked Erin’s animation style and thought it would be cool to see his take on a Sly character.

Erin did a sketch of Sly from Paradise Alley.  I actually thought I had shared it earlier, but in checking today see that I didn’t.  I’ll fix that and post it in a week or two.  In the mean time we have Erin’s take on Sly as Jack Carter.

You can see more of Erin’s art at his website and Facebook page.

The 100 Greatest Artists of American Comic Books

Atlas Comics posted their list of The 100 Greatest Comic Artists of American Comic Books.  Lists like this are usually fun and this one is no exception.

It’s a pretty good list, but some artists immediately jumped to mind who are missing.  Shouldn’t Mike Zeck and Marshall Rogers make the list?  What about Eduardo Risso and Tim Sale?  Others?

The 20 Scariest Movies of All Time

Recently The Hollywood Reporter compiled their list of The 20 Scariest Movies of All Time.  I’ve seen 15 of the 20 and agree that they’ve come up with a good list.

My choice for number 1 scariest movie would be The Exorcist.  My favorite of the 20 listed would be Night of the Living Dead, but there are many other excellent scary movies on the list.  Any of you seen all of them?
