Rampart Still Looking Good
I’m looking forward to seeing Rampart and not just because of this very well designed poster.

Mike Torrance aka The Krayola Kidd is back from “Paradise Alley” and he brought Sly as Cosmo Carboni with him! I think Mike did an excellent job of capturing Sly from one of his most under-rated movies.
You can see more of Mike’s art at The Daily Sketch with The Krayola Kidd and his Deviant Art site. Mike is available for commissions and his prices are very reasonable.

Here are two new photos, and the first to feature Yu Nan for The Expendables 2!

AMC has released a new teaser poster for the February 12, 2012 return of The Walking Dead. I can’t wait.
Entertainment Weekly scored a first look at Johnny [Barnabus Collins] Depp and Michelle [Elizabeth Collins] Pfieffer in Tim Burton’s big screen update of the cult-classic tv series, Dark Shadows.
What! MegaCon 2012 is February 17-19th!!
I don’t know how I had the dates screwed up, but I did. I thought that this year’s MegaCon was at the end of March. Obviously it’s not. That means instead of having nearly 3 months to plan for it, I’ve got 5 weeks.
Still plenty of time, right?
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that AMC is developing a new tv series based on the critically-acclaimed movie “Goodfellas.” Nicholas Pileggi, who wrote the novel [and co-wrote the screenplay along with director Martin Scorsese] is on board as an executive producer.
If AMC’s “Goodfellas” lives up to expectations, then they’ll have another hit on their hands. I’m ready to set my DVR now!
From time to time I talk about drive-in movies. Get Mean would have definitely been a drive-in movie and I would have enjoyed seeing it at one. Cowboys, Vikings, and a hidden treasure. What more could a kid ask for?
A tip of the cowboy hat or horned helmet to Bill Crider.
Big congrats to my son, Chris, who completed his first Disney Marathon today. Way to go, Chris!

This week we have Sly from Get Carter by Tom Hodges. I discovered Tom’s art through his DA site. I saw that Tom was going to be drawing live on UStream so I commissioned several sketches which will be posted in the coming weeks. Tom still draws regularly on UStream and it’s always a blast watching him sketch and interacting with the crowd.
Check out this video of scuba divers and see if you can figure out what is going on. For the record, they are really scuba divers and they’re really in water…
You just know we’re going to be reading and hearing a lot about the Apocalypse that is predicted for this year. Well, let’s go ahead and put an end to the whole Mayans predicted the end of the world in 2012 nonsense right now.
It’s hard to believe that the 007 franchise is now 50 years old and still going strong. “Skyfall”, the next Bond movie is due for release later this year. Daniel Craig will return as Bond, James Bond.
Odds are you, like me, are a fan of the James Bond movies. If that’s the case, then you’ll probably want to check out the official “Skyfall” site which has gone live!

Lance Sawyer makes his first appearance here with his sketch of Sly as Barney Ross from “The Expendables.” I’d been a fan of Lance’s art for a while. Recently I had a chance to purchase a few sketches from him and I could not be happier in how they turned out!
If you’d like to see more of Lance’s art, you can right here.
