Chris Tilly at IGN.com decided to take a stab at casting with his piece What if The Avengers Had Been Made in 1985?
There’s not much to quibble with. Tilly’s choices are on point, although I’ll bet a part would have been found for Sylvester Stallone since he had two of the three top grossing movies in 1985.
The question is what part would he have played?
That’s the new poster to London Has Fallen [sequel to Olympus Has Fallen] and reunites Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster, Radha Mitchell with the new addition of Jackie Earle Haley to round out the cast.

Midday Music Day 19. Sara by Starship.
Knee Deep in the Hoopla was not only a good name for an album [anyone else remember those] but the songs lived up to the name — they were good!
The Hollywood Reporter recently posted an excerpt from Jon Cryer’s So That Happened: A Memoir.
The THR piece, titled Jon Cryer Reveals the Inside, Insane Account of Charlie Sheen’s Infamous Meltdown, lives up to the billing. Be advised before you click over that adult language and topics are discussed.
Here’s the final trailer to Dead Rising: Watchtower that premieres on the Crackle channel tomorrow.
Dead Rising: Watchtower looks like the second feature that you’d see at a drive-in on a Saturday night. In other words, I’ll tune in and enjoy it [hopefully] for what it is.

Midday Music Day 18. Foolish Heart by Steve Perry.
Does anyone know why Steve Perry stopped making music?
Maggie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and directed by Henry Hobson doesn’t look to be our typical zombie movie. Actually, it may be for that reason I want to see it even more.
Another post relating to when I was a little kid growing up in the 60’s… it wasn’t unusual to see small framed silhouettes in houses. Folks could get them done of their family members or other people/things and they were pretty cool looking.
Recently the Hero Complex Gallery had a showing called Cut It Out: The Silhouette Art of Jordan Monsell. Mr. Monsell creates silhouettes of pop culture icons from movies and television. The pieces are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

Midday Music Day 17. Oh Sherrie by Steve Perry.
Like many, I’m a huge Steve Perry fan. When Perry’s album Street Talk was at the top of the charts I remember a buddy of mine who was into music big time, said, “Perry’s got the best pipes in the business.”
I don’t know about his plumbing, but Steve Perry can sing.
When I was a little kid growing up in the 60’s all the boys went through a model-building period. A lot of my friends liked cars, or planes or ships. I was more drawn to the Universal Monsters by Aurora.
I probably had ’em all at some point. My problem was once built, I would play with them as if they were GI Joes or Johnny West action figures.
Ah, good times.
Sunshine Superman is one to watch for.
