RIP Tony Scott

Tony Scott died yesterday at the age of 68. It has been reported that Mr. Scott had inoperable brain cancer and that was the reason he committed suicide by jumping from a bridge.
Tony Scott became a name director with Top Gun and then went on to direct hit after hit including: Beverly Hills Cop II, Revenge [under-rated!], Days of Thunder, The Last Boy Scout, True Romance, Crimson Tide and Man on Fire.
RIP Tony Scott. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family, friends and fans.

So sad. I will not comment as to why or what caused Mr. Scott to do such a thing, only compliment on the films he has made.
I always hear that Ridley is the better of the two, but, look at the films Tony has made as you listed.
Days of Thunder
Crimson Tide
True Romance
TOP GUN!!!! That film alone defined a generation and is the quintessential Tom Cruise film.
They are both on equal footing.
I even enjoy Domino, Deja Vu and the remake of Pelham. And, lets not forget Spy Games. A great spy film.
RIP Master Tony
Ridley and Tony were both great. No need to choose between them!
