UFC on Versus 3 Live was an excellent fight card. Here are my picks and the results:
FInal Thoughts:

If you’re not watching Fringe, you’re truly missing an interesting show.
This is a pretty cool poster. I wish Conan was closer and looking straight at us with a “you’re next” look on his mug.

I’ve always liked Captain America. He’s an iconic super hero. Of course a hero is only as good as the villain that he goes up against. From the looks of things, Cap is going to be able to give The Dark Knight a run for his money. I really dig the look of The Red Skull in the photo above.
I’m starting to have high expectations for the Captain America movie… especially after reading this interview in Entertainment Weekly with director Joe Johnston, because he gets Cap.

UFC on Versus 3 is live tonight starting at 9pm EST. Without further adu, here are my picks:
I’ll post results tomorrow.

George Carlin was a comedian’s comedian. Carlin’s intelligent, humorous and thought-provoking act was something that I always enjoyed. George Carlin truly was nu-wave, but old school. [Via Bits and Pieces]

Although season 13 of “The Ultimate Fighter” doesn’t premiere until March 30th, the anticipation is building. Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos will coach the fourteen welterweights who will fight for the six-figure UFC contract.

I came up with solutions that should be right for #’s 2, 3 and 4 [although they were different than the test answers – which you can see here]. #1 stumped me. [Via Bits and Pieces]

Brian Stelfreeze. Barney Ross from The Expendables. What else needs to be said? Simply enjoy the genius of Brian Stelfreeze.
Ok. For those new to the show, Brian Stelfreeze is one of the most amazing artists working today. He can do it all… pencil, ink, color, design. I have never seen a bad piece by Brian. Yet, he is one of the most humble, approachable and appreciative artists you’ll ever meet. This is my second piece by Mr. Stelfreeze. [You can see my first here. Both are “cornerstones” of my collection.] I hope it is not my last.

Powers, the comic series [by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming] about cops in a world with super heroes and villains, has been given the green light. The pilot is set to be directed by Michael Dinner [Justified, Sons of Anarchy]; with a script from Charles “Chic” Eglee, [The Walking Dead,The Shield ]. [Via CBR.com]

The Thing poster above was created by Fernando Fro Reza as part of an on-going twice a month re-imagining of movie posters at CHUD.com. You can read more about the poster, the artist, how to get a limited edition Thing print [there are two different ones] and more about the re-imagined posters here.

I don’t know anything about “Cat Run” other than I dig the 60’s movie poster vibe it’s putting off. Even the official “Cat Run” movie site doesn’t give us any additional clues yet. If you’d like to see a big-cat-sized version of the poster you can here at IMPAwards.com.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Secret Life of Houdini, The Making of America’s First Superhero by William Kalush and Larry Sloman is being developed as an…
…action thriller featuring a character who is part Indiana Jones and part Sherlock Holmes, documenting his rise as a magician along with his covert involvement with the Secret Service.

The Hollywood Reporter has some interesting behind-the-scenes photos from the best show on tv – “Justified” – and you can see them all right here.
