This rarely seen Bernie Wrightson riff on The Creature from the Black Lagoon is one of my favorite Wrightson and Creature drawings. Thanks to the Estate of Bernie Wrightson for sharing it.

Marc Lafon is the artist behind this very clever Predator alt poster. You can see more of Marc’s art here.

Robert Vaux at ComicBook.com decided to look at the Rotten Tomatoes ranking of every film by Stanley Kubrick. I enjoy this kind of thing and decided to see how I would rank Kubrick’s films.. Here’s how the rankings compare.

Having Zack Snyder (co-writer and director of Army of the Dead) watch and discuss the trailer is a cool idea!
Director Zack Snyder dissects the trailer for his new film Army of the Dead, shot by shot. Hear the behind the scenes detail about some of those epic shots ahead of the Army of the Dead launch on Netflix 21 May

It seems like we’ve been waiting for A Quiet Place Part II forever. Weill, the wait is almost over. Today we have a poster and the final trailer. Make sure you save me a seat!
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

We have a foreign poster and the U.S. trailer for Awake. I like the looks of both and look forward to checking out Awake after it premieres on Netflix, June 9th.
It seems that everyone has heard of Charles Manson, The Boston Strangler, Jack the Ripper, Ted Bundy, The BTK Killer, and other infamous psychos. Not as many folks have heard of Ed Gein. Gein is a true life wacko who inspired Psycho (the book and film), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and even The Silence of the Lambs (book and film). Eric Powell is teaming with Harold Schechter to tell Ed Gein’s story. Here’s the synopsis from Amazon:
One of the greats in the field of true crime literature, Harold Schechter (Deviant, The Serial Killer Files, Hell’s Princess), teams with five-time Eisner Award-winning graphic novelist Eric Powell (The Goon, Big Man Plans, Hillbilly) to bring you the tale of one of the most notoriously deranged serial killers in American history, Ed Gein.
Did You Hear What Eddie Gein Done? is an in-depth exploration of the Gein family and what led to the creation of the necrophile who haunted the dreams of 1950s America and inspired such films as Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Silence of the Lambs.
Painstakingly researched and illustrated, Schechter and Powell’s true crime graphic novel takes the Gein story out of the realms of exploitation and gives the reader a fact-based dramatization of these tragic, psychotic and heartbreaking events. Because, in this case, the truth needs no embellishment to be horrifying.

“Don’t Let Her In” looks like fun. Check out the trailer below.
When an attractive young couple rent out a room in their spacious loft to an eccentric, beautiful female artist, they soon live to regret it. Slowly but surely, their seductive new tenant invades their minds, their beds, the very fabric of their lives. A sensual supernatural nightmare from writer/director Ted Nicolaou (TERRORVISION, SUBSPECIES, THE VAMPIRE JOURNALS).

I love how creepy this London After Midnight still is. London After Midnight starred Lon Chaney and was directed and co-produced by Tod Browning! There is no known copy of the film (the last known print was destroyed in a fire in the 1960s) and is considered to be the most “sought-after” lost film. From WikipediA…
London After Midnight (also marketed as The Hypnotist) is a lost 1927 American silent mystery film with horror overtones directed and co-produced by Tod Browning and starring Lon Chaney, with Marceline Day, Conrad Nagel, Henry B. Walthall and Polly Moran. The film was distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and was based on the scenario “The Hypnotist”, also written by Browning.
I truly hope that a copy of the film is found for fans, like me, to see.
