Don’t Ever Cross Alex Cross

Tyler Perry as Alex Cross?  Yeah, that could work, although I have to admit it was a bit of surprise to see Madea taking on the role of James Patterson’s detective.

I liked the poster a lot better at first glance, but the more I look at it the more the layout bugs me.  All of the white space to the left and the fact that Matthew Fox and Tyler Perry are in the same pose just makes the poster fall a bit flat.  I also think that they could have come up with a better tag line than: Don’t Ever Cross Alex CrossThe trailer is interesting though.

Resident Evil: Retribution

If my life depended upon the right answer, I might be able to guess how many Resident Evil movies have been made.  Of course it would be a guess.  And I’d only do it to save my life.

The Resident Evil movies (however many there may be) are not great films by any stretch of the imagination.  I will confess, however, that I think I’ve seen them all.  At least the ones that have made their way to the SYFY channel.

I watch them, enjoy them at the time of viewing and then pretty much forget the details.  That’s because, at least as best as I can remember, they’re all pretty much about Milla Jovovich fighting zombies and other creatures created by the evil Umbrella Corporation.  Which is a fun way to spend a late night on the weekend when there’s nothing else on.

Guess what?  There’s a new Resident Evil movie coming out.  It’s called Resident Evil: Retribution and here’s the trailer.  I wish I could tell you where this new movie fits in to the Resident Evil timeline, but it’d only be a guess.

Jamie Foxx is One Bad Cowboy

That’s one mean lookin’ cowboy.  Almost hard to believe it’s Jamie Foxx in a publicity still for Quentin Tarantino’s Django set for a Christmas 2012 release.  I’m a Tarantino fan and apparently so are Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Gerald McRaney, Don Johnson, Anthony LaPaglia, Tom Wopat, James Remar, and James Russo since they’re appearing in the film along with Jamie Foxx

You can see more stills for Django here thanks to the cowboys at ComingSoon.

Chris Flick Awards Sly…

Chris Flick of Capes and Babes makes his first appearance in my Stallone Theme Sketch Collection. I had the good fortune to sit with Chris, Thomas Zahler of Love and Capes , LittleJohn312 and Patricia at last year’s Heroes Con Drink and Draw event. What a great evening! Ah, but I digress…

Chris Flick worked up this cool sketch of Sly accepting a well-deserved award for his amazing working on Rambo. You can learn more about Chris as well as check out his popular Cape and Babes webcomic.
