There’s a new teaser for The Walking Dead, Season Two online now!

Lance Sawyer makes his second appearance, this time with his riff on Sly as John Rambo from “First Blood.” I’ve been a fan of Lance’s art for a while. Recently I had a chance to purchase a few sketches from him and I could not be happier in how they turned out!
If you’d like to see more of Lance’s art, you can right here.

Mike Torrance aka The Krayola Kidd is back from “Paradise Alley” and he brought Sly as Cosmo Carboni with him! I think Mike did an excellent job of capturing Sly from one of his most under-rated movies.
You can see more of Mike’s art at The Daily Sketch with The Krayola Kidd and his Deviant Art site. Mike is available for commissions and his prices are very reasonable.
AMC has released a new teaser poster for the February 12, 2012 return of The Walking Dead. I can’t wait.

This week we have Sly from Get Carter by Tom Hodges. I discovered Tom’s art through his DA site. I saw that Tom was going to be drawing live on UStream so I commissioned several sketches which will be posted in the coming weeks. Tom still draws regularly on UStream and it’s always a blast watching him sketch and interacting with the crowd.

Lance Sawyer makes his first appearance here with his sketch of Sly as Barney Ross from “The Expendables.” I’d been a fan of Lance’s art for a while. Recently I had a chance to purchase a few sketches from him and I could not be happier in how they turned out!

I like this new still of Sylvester Stallone from “Bullet to the Head” much better than the previously released axe-fight photo. “Bullet to the Head” is set for release on April 13, 2012, so hopefully we see a trailer soon.

Mike Torrance aka The Krayola Kidd returns with a clever over-sized card that he gifted me. I can compliment Mike enough on the creativity that went into making it, Everything from the fonts to the cast to the fact that it’s “The Night the Reindeer Died 2” emphasis on the 2. I totally love it and can’t thank Mike enough.

CBR.com recently posted the results of a poll of fans to determine the Top 50 Most Memorable Comic Covers of the Marvel Age. Congratulations to my buddies, Mike Zeck and John Beatty for placing three covers in the top 50.
Using just the covers from the poll here is my top ten:
While I don’t think that anyone would argue that they weren’t great covers selected but what about…
Those covers just came to me quickly as I was putting together this post. What other classic Marvel Age covers did we miss?
So what do you think of this trailer for The Dark Knight Rises? While it didn’t know my socks off, it does have it’s moments.

My buddy, Evan Bryce, was featured in an article at iFanboy earlier this week. Regular readers know I’ve been singing Evan’s praises for a while now. It’s nice when people who deserve some recognition, get it.

Mike Torrance aka The Krayola Kidd shows us his take on Sly as Rambo.
Recently Mike ran a “Black Friday” discount on his sketches and sketchcards. Since I’m a fan of Mike’s art, I naturally jumped on board for several. Mike, as he always does, went above and beyond. Next week I plan to share the present he included. It’s too cool.
Until then, you can see more of Mike’s art at The Daily Sketch with The Krayola Kidd and his Deviant Art site. Mike is available for commissions and his prices are very reasonable.

Dave Johnson is one of the most talented artists working today. He is the go-to guy if you need a cool cover design. Reverend Dave recently started a weekly blog, Johnson Cover Hi-Lo, in which he talks about the comic covers that just hit the stands. Dave tells you what he likes and why as well as the same for those that don’t make the grade.
Dave doesn’t talk about the artists who created the covers, but simply their choices, either good or bad. I’m not an artist, but I enjoy learning about the process. You might, too.
Oh, and by the way, Dave drew the above cover and snuck into the art a little personal commentary about his feelings for the editor’s design choice. Well played, Dave. Well played.

This week we have Sly from Paradise Alley by Tom Hodges. I discovered Tom’s art through his DA site. I saw that Tom was going to be drawing live on UStream so I commissioned a sketch of Jack Carter and Rambo. Tom still draws regularly on UStream and it’s always fun watching him go at it.

I like this poster for The Dark Knight Rises!
