This trailer for the new season of The Walking Dead [premieres October 16th] is gold. I’d say more but I want to watch the trailer yet again.

Entertainment Weekly scored a first look at The Walking Dead banner/poster that will be on display at Comic Con.

That’s the cover to Zeke Deadwood: Zombie Lawman #1. It first came out in 2009, so I’m a little late discovering it, but I’m glad that I did. Thomas Boatwright and Ryan Rubio successfully meld two genres that I enjoy [westerns and zombies] and throw in the right amount of comedy to create a really enjoyable comic.
It’s a simple story, Zeke Deadwood: Zombie Lawman rides into a “town in trouble” and sets things right. Deadwood is a lawman, but he’s not your typical zombie. He’s not a mindless eating creature. In fact, Deadwood doesn’t eat anyone [at least in this issue]. Second of all he can think and speak. Still he is like a zombie in that he moves slowly and, boy, does he smell bad. Of course you would too if you were dead.

It’s no secret that I love Thomas Boatwright’s art which for this issue is done in pen and ink with tones/wash. Boatwright brings the right amount of cartooniness to really make the issue sing. TJ Kirsch, Havard S. Johansen and Guy Davis all provide bonus pinups for the issue.
I really enjoyed the first issue and am looking forward to picking up the 2nd which is available now.

This fan-made teaser made to promote the new season of The Walking Dead is really, really well done.

Although we’re not even half way through 2011, you can now pre-order a 2012 Walking Dead calendar! What zombie-lovin’ fan wouldn’t want one or two?

Did you ever wonder how well you’d survive if the world fell to a zombie-apocalypse? Now you can find out thanks to the folks behind AMC’s The Walking Dead website. I took The Walking Dead – Survival Test and my survival skills rated me as a…

On September 27, 2011, the first prose Walking Dead novel, The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor will be available. You can actually pre-order it now through Amazon.com. I did. Of course I am a major fan of the comic and tv series.
What’s that? You are too? Then what are you waiting for?

Here’s a match made in, uh, heaven… Stephen King has confirmed to EW.com that he is in talks to script an episode of AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead. Man, I would love to see that happen. King and The Walking Dead’s executive producer, Frank Darabont, have a history of working together to create top notch entertainment [The Shawshank Redemption and The Mist] so odds are this will all work out. I, for one, couldn’t be happier.

There’s a good chance that you’ve already seen the trailer to Dead Island. The trailer went viral because it’s so good. It is also pretty gory and very violent. I’ve watched it several times and although it’s a trailer for a game, it’s as good as any recent movie trailer. And wouldn’t you know it? According to JoBlo, Dead Island may soon be on the fast track to the silver screen.

“Walking Dead” fans will be happy to hear that McFarlane Toys will soon begin producing action figures for Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comic series as well as AMC’s adaptation of The Walking Dead. CBR.com spoke with Todd McFarlane [McFarlane Toys CEO] at the 2011 New York Toy Fair and posted photos and a full report here.

If you subscribe to Entertainment Weekly, then you’ve probably already received your copy of The Walking Dead issue. If you don’t sub, then you might want to look for a copy which hits stands on November 29th. If you’re a fan of the show, then you’ll want a copy because Entertainment Weekly goes behind the scenes to talk to…
“…all the key players, including comic creator Robert Kirkman, executive producers Frank Darabont and Gale Anne Hurd, and star Andrew Lincoln…” and others.

EW.com recently posted an interesting article by Clark Collis titled, “Night of the Living Dead: How a 42-Year-Old Zombie Movie Refuses to Die.” If you’re a George Romero, Night of the Living Dead, The Walking Dead, zombie fan or if you just want to know how the zombie craze was kickstarted, then you should give it a read.

Hot off the Press Internet: A little over an hour ago, The Hollywood Reporter posted that AMC had renewed The Walking Dead for another full 13 episode season. Here’s why…
The drama series, toplined by Andrew Lincoln, has broken ratings records, with the show reaching more viewers in the 18-49 demo than any other cable TV show. The Walking Dead’s series premiere on Halloween drew 5.3 million total viewers and Sunday’s “gutsy” episode took in 4.7 million — that’s an incredibly high retention of a record rating and surely made this pickup an easy decision for AMC.

Recently, in response to the overwhelmingly positive response to AMC’s The Walking Dead, Boston.com posted their choices for the Top 25 Zombie Movies of All Time. Using just their selections, here is my top ten:

In honor of Halloween Eve and the premiere of The Walking Dead tomorrow night, I give you MakeMeZombie.com. [Via Neatorama]
