I sure hope that the Total Recall update has plenty of action.

Want to see the first five minutes of Lockout? You can, but first be advised that Lockout is rated PG13 for intense sequences of violence and action, and language including some sexual references. With that said, here’s the first five minutes of Lockout.

Here’s a sketch card of Sly as Jack Carter that Eric Merced did when I bought his sketchbook back in 2010. I’m pretty sure this was the first sketchcard that I ever got and it somehow eluded being posted until today. You can see more of Eric’s art at his site and his DA home.

I really enjoyed Savages by Don Winslow. Of course what crime fiction loving fan didn’t?
Naturally, I’m looking forward to the movie adaptation starring Aaron Johnson, Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Salma Hyeck, and Benicio Del Toro. Savages opens July 6th and although the full length trailer doesn’t break until tomorrow, MTV has the teaser for the trailer here.
If you’re already on board or think Savages is something you’d really dig, then you’ll probably be interested in Don Winslow’s prequel called The Kings of Cool. It hits the streets on June 19th.

This is so cool. Jeff Desom edited footage from Alfred Hitchcock’s classic, Rear Window, so we have a time-lapse video of Jimmy Stewart’s view of the courtyard to show us exactly what was going on in that building across the way.
Thanks and a wave of a broken leg to MetaFilter for the link.

The full-length trailer to Total Recall is up and looks awesome. If the movie lives up to the trailer, we’re in for an amazing ride.

As cool as the retro-looking poster for The Samaritan is, I like the trailer even better. Samuel L. Jackson as a newly released ex-con under pressure from his parole officer to “not even jaywalk” and his ex-partner’s [who Jackson killed} son’s gang forcing him back into the life… yeah, I’m in.

Today we have Sly as Judge Dredd by Shawn Surface. Shawn is an all-around nice guy and his art should be getting more attention. This is the first of three pieces that I recently picked up from Shawn. The other two will be posted in the coming weeks. Until then, why not check out his site and give him some love?

Empire has an area devoted to movie poster mash-ups. In the Sylvester Stallone section there are several very clever posters. Here are three of my favorites. – Craig

While my anticipation for Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows has cooled a bit, I still like his Barnabas character poster.

I saw Wolverine first and then the 2 Bat Men. Pretty clever drawing, eh?
And a tip o’ the cowl to Geek World Order.

Here’s the teaser for the trailer of the Colin Farrell remake of Total Recall?
