Lost Has Lost It’s Way

I’ve been a Lost fan since the first season premiere. I’ve never missed an episode and was really looking forward to the final season. I have to admit that I’ve been disappointed so far. I still record new episodes, but there’s no longer the rush to watch ’em.
What’s been buggin’ me is the alternate timelines/universes. Now what happens doesn’t seem to matter as much because it’s just one of who knows how many possible timelines.
Bah!
At least I’m not the only one who feels that way.
I’m still going to watch the final season and hope that it returns to old form.

Well, I look at it this way; I’d rather see it on TV then not see it. As frustrating as it is, I always try to keep my expectations low, then unlike the sienfeld finalie I won’t be let down. I happen to be a fan of slow story telling, holding back the truth until the last posssible moment. Something about Lost seems to resemble the end of The Sopranos. In other words, see it- how you want to see it. I don’t think the end of Lost will wrap up in a nice package. There could be many characters who have unhappy lives, just like real life. It’s funny, at holidays and family gatherings we all still talk about what happened to Tony Soprano and the gang.
You know…it might not be an alternate timeline, or pocket universe. It could be the dream of whoever takes over for Jacob/Unlocke at the end of the show. Something like that…I’m still having faith that we will finally know and understand definitively what the hell is going on with the two factions on the island.
Adnuk: Sad endings don’t bother me, if done well. But if there are five or fifty Jack’s then which one was the one I vested the story in? With the alternate universes or timelines or whatever they call them, nothing matters because anything can happen… argh!
The James: You have faith like Locke. LOL. I’m hanging in there and hope the writers turn this thing around… soon!
I just glad I never watched this show…seems they’ve been jerking the viewer’s along the whole time…LOST is for LOSERS!!!
Now…go watch your dumb show. 😉
John – I’d post more of a response to your comment, but I’ve got to go watch the dumb show!
Craig, what if there are no alternate timelines? I am thinking, that the flash-sideways is not what it may appear to be. I think the sideways is the ending. In other words, what we see at the temple, flocke, dogen- all that has to happen. I think the sideways will turn out to be the one and only timeline we have been following. we just haven’t seen it yet.
But I tend to get lost in my own theories. Have faith, it’ll come around!
I watched the show religiously up until season 4 then couldnt get copies of the show. Have I missed anything important, as I honestly think, the producers let the show run on for way too long. 🙁
