CBR.com recently posted their master list for 75 Memorable Moments in Marvel History.
Normally I’d take their list and give you my top ten moments or I’d pick a nit [like why didn’t Shang-Chi fighting either Razorfist or The Cat make the list] but this time I’m just going to sit back and enjoy the trip down memory lane.

The Autmata trailer looks interesting.
The fact that I’m not hearing much buzz about it worries me a bit.

I’m looking forward to Better Call Saul the spin-off from Breaking Bad. According to the AMC site….
The series is set six years before Saul Goodman meets Walter White. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and, often, against Jimmy, is “fixer” Mike Ehrmantraut, a beloved character introduced in ‘Breaking Bad.’ The series will track Jimmy’s transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts “criminal” in “Criminal lawyer.” The series’ tone is dramatic, woven with dark humor.

Mike Mignola [Hellboy] is going to write a five issue Frankenstein mini-series for Dark Horse comics. Mignola says…
“This version of the Frankenstein monster has the same thirst for knowledge readers will remember from Mary Shelley’s novel… I’m trying to do something that’s true to the origin Mary Shelley created for the creature but also captures a bit of the feel that Boris Karloff brought to the role in the classic Universal films.”
Mignola’s mini-series will called Frankenstein Underground and will be part of his Hellboy universe.

The Omega Man was a movie I loved as a kid.
When I watched The Omega Man years later I found it quite a bit dated. Still there’s no denying that The Omega Man laid the groundwork for apocalyptic movies. That alone makes The Omega Man worth a viewing.
Scott Collura’s Why We Love the Omega Man at IGN.com got me thinking about The Omega Man.

That amazing drawing of Sly as Jack Carter was created by artist extrodinaire, Hoyt Silva. I met Hoyt at Heroes Con and set up the take home commission.
Hoyt, in addition to being an amazing artist, has great communication and packages the art securely. I highly recommend Hoyt to all sketch collectors! – Craig

That’s the splash page to Darwyn Cooke’s first published comics work which appeared in DC’s Talent Showcase #19 in 1985.
Thanks to The Bristol Board you can see the whole story!

How about a new poster and trailer for John Wick?

October is a great month for horror movie fans. So many horror/monster movies are shown it is almost impossible to keep up with them all.
Wouldn’t it be great if someone would compile a listing to simplify our lives?
Joe Reid did and The Atlantic published it – Behold, Every Horror On TV This October!

I thought that since today was Friday we needed a post that would take us into the weekend with a smile.
What better than a shot of Lee Marvin from Point Blank drawn by Darwyn Cooke?
Perhaps an even bigger version?

I like this poster for Jupiter Ascending. I think the movie is going to be a bit too far out there for me though.
If you’d like to see a Jupiter-size version of the poster, IMPAwards has it.

I’m not in love with this poster, but for some reason I like it better than I feel I should.
Maybe because that’s the feeling I have about the movie, John Wick. I’m going to like it better than I should.
Is that a bad thing?
