Rare & Vintage Paul Gulacy Morbius Sketch!

Above is a rare, vintage sketch of Morbius the Living Vampire drawn by Paul Gulacy way back in 1980.

The sketch reminds me of the first Paul Gulacy art I ever owned.  It was also a Morbius and victim sketch that I purchased in 1978 or 1979.  At the time he was a second or third tier Marvel character.  Who’d have thought that Morbius would be the “star’ of a movie in 2020?

Isn’t it about time for even more Two Sentence Horror Stories?  Here are three…

During dinner, she told me she knew my deep dark secret.
As she ate her burger I knew she was bluffing.

It would spice up my autobiography a little.

The Poster and Trailer for “Sea Fever” are Here!

Here’s the poster and trailer for Sea Fever.  Yes, this would be a great drive-in movie!

Sea Fever is a tense and original Irish sci-fi thriller reminiscent of cult classics The Thing and The Abyss, starring Hermione Corfield (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and Connie Nielsen (Wonder Woman).
For marine biology student Siobhan (Hermione Corfield), it was supposed to be a research excursion with a trawler crew fishing the West Irish seas. But when they hit an unseen object and become marooned, a mysterious parasite infects their water supply. Soon the oozing force infiltrates the entire vessel and turns Siobhan’s journey into a claustrophobic fight for survival.

Can they stop the mysterious water borne parasite from spreading before it’s too late? Sea Fever also stars Dougray Scott (Hitman) and Jack Hickey (Game of Thrones). Written and directed by BAFTA© winning Irish filmmaker Neasa Hardiman (behind BBC triumph Happy Valley and Netflix hit Jessica Jones).

The Poster for “Peninsula” – “Train to Busan” Sequel is Here!

I cannot wait for this one!  I loved Train to Busan and the sequel, Peninsula, looks to be just as good!

PENINSULA takes place four years after the zombie outbreak in TRAIN TO BUSAN.

The Korean peninsula is devastated and Jung-seok, a former soldier who has managed to escape overseas, is given a mission to go back and unexpectedly meets survivors.

Hoping for a trailer soon!

New “Day of the Dead” Series Based on Romero’s Classic Movie is Coming!

Deadline broke the story that Syfy has given the green light given to a 10-episode series based on George A. Romero’s classic Day of the Dead that should air in 2021.  Here’s the synopsis…

Day of the Dead is the intense story of six strangers trying to survive the first 24 hours of an undead invasion.

I like the sound of this quite a bit.  The  most exciting parts of zombie movies are at the very start when people don’t know what is happening or how to deal with it.  The idea of strangers having to come together to survive is a winning concept.  I just hope that the zombies aren’t able to “learn” as in Romero’s Day of the Dead.
